PINK TOWER

With the Pink Tower there is much more than just a toy in the group room! Even the smallest children enthusiastically stack the lacquered solid wood blocks into towers, but elementary school children also train fine motor skills and concentration with this beautiful Montessori material. By the way, dealing with the different sized and heavy blocks trains the feeling for proportionality.

Application, advantages, areas of application for this Montessori material:

    • Stacking the cubes on top of one another to form a harmonious tower

    • Name the cubes with terms like bigger - smaller, heavier - lighter etc.

    • Recognize proportions

    • Combination work with the brown stairs

    • Montessori material for children from 3 years

Scope of the Montessori sensory material:
10 wooden cubes in various sizes from 1 x 1 x 1 cm to 10 x 10 x 10 cm
1 additional wooden cube (1 x 1 x 1 cm) as a replacement, and for measuring the distances between the tower steps.

Instructions for the Montessori Pink Tower

Work with the pink tower is similar to that with the brown staircase, except that work is not done in width, but in height.

The cubes are mixed and placed on the carpet.
The adult begins with the largest, picks it up with one hand and puts it in front of him.
Then he places the next smaller one in the middle. This continues with all remaining dice.
The success control is the smallest cube here. It is the measure of the difference in width between two cubes. If the tower is built (or the cube moved in such a way) that the corners of the cube are exactly on top of each other, the width of the lower one is always displayed when the smallest cube is placed.

Variations:
All cubes are mixed and placed on the carpet.
