Instructions for the sandpaper letters according to Montessori

An adult takes three letter boards and places them in front of him.

1st stage: He follows the first letter in the writing direction and names it, followed by the two remaining letters.
Now the tablets are handed over to the child.
2nd level: Please give me this ...
3rd level: The adult points to a letter and asks: Which letter is that?

Initially, this exercise should be done with a maximum of 3 letters, but you do not necessarily have to follow the order of the ABC. Later the exercise can be done with all letter boards.

Variations:
The ABC is laid.
Then some letters are removed and put back in the right place by the child.

A sheet of paper is placed over a letter board and the letter is hatched through with colored pencil.

If there is a sand tub, the letters can be written in the sand.
