Work card index for the small division board, 100 tasks for divided calculations with Montessori material in a wooden box with dividers, Made in Germany

Division is the basic arithmetic that gives children the most headaches. The work file with integrated self-control enables every child to learn the tasks from 1:1 to 81:9 quickly and easily. The 100 work cards also contain tasks with a remainder.

With the supplied dividers, the child can divide the tasks according to difficulty. If a task has been solved correctly, it goes behind a separating sheet and is repeated the next day. If it is correct again, it goes behind the separator sheet for the next week's repetitions, and so on.

Instructions for the work card for the Montessori division board

The wooden box for the work index contains five dividers. These can later be used to form six compartments into which the cards are classified. Correctly solved task cards from a subject are placed in the next subject at the back.

The exercise cycle can either be chosen freely or look like this:

daily: 1st subject

every 2 days: 2nd subject

weekly: 3rd subject

every 4 to 6 weeks: 4th subject

every 8 to 12 weeks: 5th subject

at its own discretion: 6th compartment

At the beginning, however, all cards are in front of the first separator sheet (1st compartment).

It is advisable to start with the cards in a division series (e.g. 40:4= ; 16:4= ; 20:4=), later the tasks will be solved automatically in a jumble.

The cards of the selected row are taken from the box and dealt with in order (e.g. 50:5, 45:5, 40:5...) or mixed (50:5, 25:5, 35:5...). . The front of the card shows the task, e.g. 81:9 =

The child takes the corresponding number of beads (here 81 beads) from the box and puts 9 skittles (green pawns) into the horizontal row of holes. Now it distributes the 81 beads row by row to the cones. With the back of the card (on which the result of the calculation is printed in pictures and in writing) the work can now be checked and corrected if necessary. If the task was solved correctly, the card goes behind the first separating sheet (2nd compartment), if it had to be corrected, the card remains in the first compartment.

Once all task cards of this division row have been distributed from the first to the other compartments, the next row is chosen and processed in the same way.

Later, the cards with remaining quantities can be processed. Here, the beads are distributed evenly row by row to all cones. Each cone gets the same number of beads. The remaining pearls remain as a residual amount in the bowl.
