This is how you give children their first experiences with fractures. The cones simply show fractions like 1/4, 1/3, and 1/2. The basic requirements for the later calculation of fractions are established. Ideally, the subsets can be recorded using the size of the individual pieces of cone.

The whole cone is presented to the child as 1/1, then the two-part cone is also presented as 1/1. Now you take it apart and say that is and a half. Proceed in the same way with the other cones. Later you reverse the tasks.
